It is particularly effective in identifying proteostasis imbalances in both induced pluripotent stem cell models of Huntington´s disease and cells transfected with mutant Huntington exon 1, prior to visible aggregate formation. Additionally, TPE-MI is used to detect protein damage in studies involving dihydroartemisinin and the malaria parasites Plasmodium falciparu
